Moved out here to Dubai about six months ago and I brought my 2016 E350 with me from the UK and honestly I’m still trying to figure out who to trust with basic maintenance because the dealership on Sheikh Zayed Road quoted me something like 4800 dirhams for just the front pads and sensors and that doesn’t even include the rotors which they said were “borderline” but not urgent yet, meanwhile a buddy of mine who’s been here for years swears by a little place in Ras Al Khor that does everything for a fraction of the price but then I start overthinking things like do they actually know the proper torque specs for the caliper bolts on these things or are they just gonna hammer everything on with an air gun and call it a day because I’ve had a bad experience with that before on my old W211 and the shudder never went away until I had the discs skimmed, anyway I was up way too late last night going down a rabbit hole trying to find some middle ground and I saw a page like http://www.brakepadreplacementdubai.ae/brands/mercedes-brake-pad-replacement come up in the results which at least gave me a rough idea of what a specialist might charge versus the main dealer, and now I’m just curious if anyone else with a W212 or similar has found a garage they genuinely trust that won’t cut corners but also won’t charge the premium just for having a star on the hood because I really don’t want to end up with squeaky brakes or a juddering pedal six weeks from now just to save a few hundred dirhams.
